BELLFLOWER, CA — Holy cow! Chick-fil-A comes to Bellflower.
Residents will soon have a new stop for chicken sandwiches and waffle fries when the city’s first Chick-fil-A opens Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 a.m.
The new restaurant, located at 9333 Rosecrans Ave., is inviting guests to “show their spots.” Anyone who shows up in cow-themed attire—from full costume to spotted socks—can earn one free entrée or kid’s meal. Don’t be cowed, Bellflower, get those free nuggets!
The drive-thru focused location will be owned and operated by Itza Leon, a Santa Ana native and first-generation Mexican American who began working at Chick-fil-A in high school and now runs her own store.
“I never imagined opportunities like this could be within reach,” Leon said in a company news release. “I’m excited to lead my team.”
Mayor Tay Dunton praised the project, calling the new Chick-fil-A “an excellent compliment to the City of Bellflower, being adjacent to the freshly updated Kaiser medical facility.” Dunton added that the restaurant continues the trend of “new development in this area of town.”
To mark the opening, Leon is committing to a $25,000 donation to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
The restaurant will operate Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering drive-thru, walk-up, patio seating and delivery options.
